Continuing its celebration of our nation’s semi-quincentennial and proud association with founding father James Monroe, the Arts Club of Washington History Committee invites you to visit the historic DACOR Bacon House.  DACOR is an organization of foreign service professionals in the mold of former US minister and Secretary of State Monroe.  Its members meet in and maintain an historic mansion, the Robert and Virginia Bacon house which, since 1825, has hosted numerous luminaries, including former President Monroe.


  • 12 pm:  Socialize with soft drinks and cash bar
  • 12:30 pm: 3-course lunch with discussion of the organization and house's history
  • 1:30 pm: tour of house

Limit: 6 to 20 participants
