About the Artists:

Robert DiLutis is professor of clarinet at the University of Maryland, College Park, and principal clarinetist of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. He previously taught at Louisiana State University and held positions with the Rochester Philharmonic, San Antonio Symphony, and Eastman School of Music. DiLutis has served on the faculties of St. Mary's University in Texas and Nazareth College in New York, and has presented recitals and masterclasses at several universities and conferences, including in Assisi, Italy.

Classical pianist Futaba Niekawa is celebrated for expressive artistry as a performer, chamber musician, and mentor. Her concerts span North America, Europe, and Asia, and she has released five recordings of solo, duo, and chamber works. Since 2011, she and violinist Kerry DuWors have formed duo526, praised by Gramophone magazine, and mentored young musicians through collaborative projects. Niekawa has worked with artists such as Atar Arad and James Campbell, and faculty at Indiana University and the University of Maryland, reflecting her dedication to teaching and collaboration.

The Arts Club of Washington is proud to host this event as part of International House Museum Days, April 2026. International House Museum Days is a global initiative dedicated to celebrating historic houses, houses of memory, and the figures they commemorate. Hundreds of house museums around the world come together to share in this celebration, led by the Italian National Association of Houses of Memory (Italy) with the International Council of Museums (Committees for Historic House Museums and of Literary and Composers’ Museums).
