This year the Annual James Monroe Dinner will feature a classical music performance from the rising star performers at Shenandoah University sponsored by Richard McCormick and the Sheryl Shreckengost Endowment for Exceptional Young Classical Musical Artists.
The Sheryl Shreckengost memorial Arts Club of Washington endowment has been established to provide unique performance opportunities for exceptional young emerging musical artists.
The endowment honors Sheryl’s memory, her love of music and fine arts, and steadfast dedication and service to the Arts Club, its Board of Governors and as the Club’s Vice President.
The Annual James Monroe Dinner celebrates the fifth president of the United States during his birthday month. Monroe, his wife Elizabeth, and younger daughter Maria lived in the clubhouse from 1811 to 1817, including the first six months of his presidency.
