Victor Garcia, originally from Madrid, Spain, is a versatile chamber musician, solo pianist, and educator. He has performed internationally as a soloist in prestigious venues including the National Auditorium of Madrid, Mozarteum University of Salzburg, Le Doelen in Rotterdam, Lucca Music Festival in Tuscany, and Castel D’Ursel in Belgium.
Garcia has collaborated with ensembles such as the Spanish National Orchestra, the Madrid Municipal Symphonic Band, and Verum Orchestra under renowned conductors. He was pianist for the award-winning Antara Korai Choir for 14 years, recording two albums and participating in festivals across Europe.
As an educator, he spent over 15 years at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory and served for five years as a collaborative piano professor at Alfonso X El Sabio University. He currently teaches at the Washington Conservatory of Music. Garcia holds degrees from Madrid’s Royal Conservatory; Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory, Trieste; Codarts University for the Arts, Rotterdam; Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; and Schola Cantorum, Paris.
This Salon Concert is presented by the Classical Music Committee of The Arts Club of
Washington in collaboration with the Washington Conservatory of Music, and seeks to
offer chamber music in an historic atmosphere evocative of the period during which the
music was written.
