Now that the holidays are over, it's time for a noir movie. We're starting the year with the 1946 American crime production of The Dark Corner. The film has an all-star cast including Mark Stevens, Lucille Ball, Clifton Webb, and William Bendix. Some reviewers stated that they thought this was Clifton Webb's finest performance. According to Wikipedia, the film was not a commercial success but has since been described as a "Grade A example of film noir." The plot: Bradford Galt has moved from San Francisco to New York to escape a troubled past. He blames his former partner, Tony Jardine, for his problems. Complicating matters, he is hounded by New York police lieutenant Frank Reeves and pursued by a thug in a white suit.
