About the Artists:
Founded in 2025, the Potomac Brass Quintet is a professional chamber brass ensemble based in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The group is dedicated to delivering engaging performances, connecting with the surrounding communities, and supporting the creation of new works. Composed of five accomplished musicians from the DMV area, the Potomac Brass Quintet features two trumpets, a french horn, trombone, and tuba. The group presents a wide range of repertoire including classical, jazz, commercial, and contemporary works that aims to engage a diverse range of audiences, from the devoted chamber music enthusiast to those experiencing live chamber brass music for the first time! Beyond the stage, the Potomac Brass Quintet is dedicated to education and outreach. The members have decades of combined music education experience, teaching private lessons, leading student ensembles, and as members of music festivals. By working with local programs and providing workshops, clinics, and masterclasses, the group aims to inspire the next generation of brass performers while fostering a deeper appreciation for live music in the community.
