Andre T. Leonard is a visionary American pianist, conductor, and composer known for his genre-defying artistry and international acclaim. He is the Gold Medalist of the 2017 Aloha International Piano Competition and the 2022 Boston International Piano Competition, celebrated for performances of extraordinary emotional clarity and pianistic power.
Leonard currently holds a conducting residency at the Kennedy Center, where he leads the Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA) Chorale in acclaimed interdisciplinary programs.
Leonard’s solo repertoire spans Baroque to contemporary, with a distinctive voice that weaves period authenticity and innovation into every performance across global stages that include the United States, United Kingdom, Italy, Poland, and Russia.
