A 16-time nominee of the prestigious Helen Hayes Award, a nominee of the Joseph Jefferson Award, recipient of the OSS Congressional Gold Medal, and recipient of The English Speaking Union Award for Excellence in the Spoken Word, Gero is perhaps best known to Washington-area audiences for his star turns as Justice Antonin Scalia in The Orginialist at Arena Stage and as Richard Nixon in Nixon's Nixon at Roundhouse Theatre.
