The 2025 Pride Poets-in-Residence reading features five of the most innovative and talented LGBTQ+ authors currently working in the DC region. AGG, aka Adrian Gaston Garcia, co-produces Los Bookis Podcast and manages Tintas DC, a monthly writer’s group for Latine poets and storytellers; Natalie E. Illum is a disability activist who competed on the National Poetry Slam circuit for five years; Dwayne Lawson-Brown cofounded DC’s longest running open mic series, Spit Dat; Saundra Rose Maley cofounded the Confluence Conference, the region’s major annual gathering of literary translators; and Chris Nealon is a professor of English at Johns Hopkins University.

Join us as they read new work, followed by a book signing and reception.
