“Queering the Disable Body”

Wednesday, March 19, 2025

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - FREE

March is Women’s History Month, and our Pride Poetry workshop honors this with “Queering the Disabled Body” on Wednesday, March 19 at 6:30 pm.   This poetry workshop will look at some of the work of contemporary disabled writers and use their work to inform our own writing. Participants will be provided with prompts, given time to write, and have the opportunity to share and receive feedback on their work, if desired. Led by Natalie E. Illum, a former Beltway Grand Slam champion and disability activist.

This project is supported in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Arts Club of Washington is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. located at 2017 I Street N.W., Washington D.C. 20006
