In honor of African American History Month, “Queer Awakenings” will take place on Tuesday,
February 18 at 6:30 pm. In this workshop, we will look at poems that document queer joy, and write celebratory poems exploring our own personal awakenings. Led by Dwayne Lawson-Brown, co-founder of Spit Dat, DC’s longest running open mic series, and author of the books One Color Kaleidoscope and twenty:21.
