Hailing from Italy, Colombia, Brazil, and the United States, the Artemesia Quartet boasts musicians of diverse cultures, life experiences, and musical backgrounds whose lives converged as students at the University of Maryland. Their individual careers have taken them to some of the finest concert halls, orchestras, and music festivals in Europe and the Americas, and now they are launching the quartet as a new collaborative project in the Washington DC region. Projects will include traditional chamber music concerts, performances in unorthodox venues, as well as educational and outreach initiatives. They have already partnered with DC public schools and are looking to expand their reach in the community.
