Join Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company for a preview of its Fall dance season. The Washington Post says of the company, “Not only a Washington prize, but a national dance treasure.” The Washington City Paper named the Company the “2024 Best Dance Company.” Artistic director Dana Tai Soon Burgess guides audiences through a preview of its Asian American focused season through excerpts of three critically acclaimed dances; Hyphen, Leaving Pusan, and Becoming American.
Burgess says, "We’re focusing on emotionally complex Asian American stories. The dances encourage audiences to contemplate often overlooked historic challenges that Asian Americans have encountered in their journey to be included in the American canon."
