About the artist:
Luca Talotta is a fourteen-year-old Italian ragtime pianist and composer. His influences range from pioneering artists like George L. Cobb and Scott Joplin to more modern ragtimers like Larisa Migachyov and the legendary Tom Brier. He started out his piano journey at the age of five and received formal piano lessons until he quit four years later to begin studying independently. He picked up the genre of ragtime fairly recently after becoming familiar with the work of the aforementioned Tom Brier. Brier’s music and improvisation led Luca to step up his game and take on piano as a key part of his lifestyle. Luca is now slowly building the reputation of a respected member of the ragtime community with many original songs to his name. This will be his first professional concert.
