Like practically all other jazz artists throughout history, pianist Chris Ziemba has enjoyed respectfully mining the Great American Songbook to uncover new springboards for improvisation and exploration. With so many rich tunes to choose from, Ziemba has selected a few ”favorites of the week” for a live reimagining, including some by household names Harold Arlen and Richard Rodgers. He has augmented these with compositions by a pair of musical heroes (Thelonious Monk and Horace Silver, though these are but two of many of his artistic influences). Lastly, Ziemba has humbly leavened the program with a couple of originals, ultimately hoping to present a diverse and enjoyable evening of jazz.
Join fellow members and guests for a gourmet dinner preceded by a cocktail hour and the artistic performance.
