The Arts Club History Committee presents a new clubhouse tour to celebrate our nation's founding with a focus tour on the lives of President James and First Lady Elizabeth Monroe, residents of 2017 I Street from 1811 - 1817.
Since its founding in 1916, the Arts Club of Washington has called 2017 I Street, N.W., “home.” Join us on a guided tour of the historic clubhouse to learn more about the Arts Club, its activities and the distinguished men and women who have been members. We will also discuss some of the other residents of the two mansions the Club now occupies, including Civil War General Robert MacFeely.
