The Marfield Prize Public Reading

Registration required no later than Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at 8 PM 

Please join us as the Arts Club of Washington hosts a public reading honoring Jennifer Homans, author of "Mr. B: George Balanchine's 20th Century" and the recipient of The Marfield Prize, the National Award for Arts WritingThe evening's program includes an interview, Q/A session, and a reading of selections of the winning book by the recipient of the 2022 Marfield Prize.

6:30 PM: Hors d'oeuvres, wine, and beverages served

7:00 PM: Interview and public reading

8:30 PM: Event concludes

The Marfield Prize, sponsored by the Arts Club of Washington, recognizes the author of an outstanding nonfiction book about the arts published during the previous calendar year. This $10,000 prize is designed to highlight excellence in arts writing for a general audience.

The Arts Club of Washington reserves the right to refuse service or entry to anyone not dressed properly or to anyone who is not behaving according to normal social etiquette.
