Five poets read their own poems inspired by Gertrude Stein's Tender Buttons. Drawn from the anthology From the Belly: Poets Respond to Gertrude Stein’s Tender Buttons, edited by Karren Alenier, the poets Karren Alenier, Henry Crawford, Hiram Larew, Donald Illich, Martha Sanchez-Lowery discuss what is considered Gertrude Stein's most mysterious love poem and how her work continues to speak to poets in the present day. An audience discussion and book signing will follow.
