Arts Club of Washington Pride Poetry Workshop

         Tuesday May 16, 2023,  at 6:30 pm

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - FREE

On Tuesday, May 16 at 6:00 pm, Dan Vera leads "The Queer Pillars of American Poetry." Emily Dickinson and Walt Whitman, considered by many to be the foundation stones of modern American poetry, will be discussed, and participants will be asked to consider the miraculous unlikelihood of these two grandparents and the ways they can inspire our approaches to poetry.

Dan Vera is co-editor of Imaniman: Poets Writing in the Anzalduan Borderlands and the author of two books of poetry, Speaking Wiri Wiri and The Space Between Our Danger and Delight.
