Artist bios:
Anastasia Maksiuta is a professional pianist, and a singer-songwriter. Maksiuta is the winner of numerous international piano competitions, and a participant of festivals in America, Italy, Germany, Greece, France, Russia, Switzerland and Austria. She has performed in halls such as Musikverein (Golden Hall in Vienna, Austria), Bolshoi and Maly halls of Moscow Conservatory, International House of Music in Moscow, and so on. In May 2018, Anastasia released her first solo classical album, “PIANO”. Maksiuta graduated from the Central Music School of Moscow Conservatory in 2017, completed her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Maryland in 2021, and is about to finish her Master's degree at the same school under Professor Larissa Dedova. Anastasia is also a recording and a performing pop artist. She is working on her first English album.
Brianne Steif is working towards a Master’s in Music degree at the University of Maryland, College Park, studying flute performance with Dr. Sarah Frisof. Originally from Illinois, Steif received her undergraduate degree in flute performance from Illinois State University. Steif has participated in many masterclasses with world-renowned flutists such as Valerie Coleman, Seth Morris, and Amy Porter. Recently, Steif played second flute and piccolo with the Pan American Symphony Orchestra in their Antologîa de la Zarzuela concert. Outside of school, Steif teaches private lessons, gigs, and works as an Education Intern at the music non-profit organization Boulanger Initiative. She looks forward to future performances in the Washington, DC area.
Glen Kuenzi is a violinist who has recently begun establishing himself in the Washington, D.C. area. Originally from Wisconsin, Glen earned his Bachelor of Science (Violin Performance, Economics) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022, where he studied with Soh Hyun Altino, and studied chamber music with Parry Karp of the Pro Arte Quartet. While in Madison, Glen was a regular substitute with the highly regarded Madison Symphony Orchestra. He performed as concertmaster and principal second violin with the UW Symphony as an undergraduate, and was hired for the summer 2021 session of the opera festival “La Musica Lyrica.” Glen is now in the first year of his Master’s Degree at the University of Maryland where he is studying with Irina Muresanu, and performs as a regular principal player with the UMD Symphony Orchestra. He is also a newly established but beloved private teacher.
