Jennifer Wilson.

American soprano Jennifer Wilson has firmly established herself as one of the world’s most important dramatic sopranos. She has brought her acclaimed Turandot, captured on Decca's 2015 CD-set with Mo. Zubin Mehta and Andrea Bocelli, to great theatres around the world including the MET, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Houston Grand Opera, the Royal Opera Covent Garden, Oper Leipzig, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro San Carlo in Napoli, the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Opera Australia, Santa Fe Opera, and Opera de Valencia. Miss Wilson has performed Senta with the Wiener Staatsoper, the New National Theatre in Tokyo, the Washington National Opera, and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Nelsons. Especially noted for her Isolde, she has performed that signature role with Oper Frankfurt, Oper Leipzig, the Hong Kong International Festival, Opera de Valencia, Gran Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under Van Zweden. Also a lauded Brünnhilde, Miss Wilson has sung one, two, or all three of those roles with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opera de Valencia (preserved in an award-winning DVD set under Mehta), Deutsche Oper Berlin, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Taichung National Performing Arts Center in Taiwan, the Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia, and the Odense Symphony under Vedernikov. Other engagements include Irene in Rienzi under Thielemann in Bayreuth, Fidelio in Valencia and Liége, Aida in Melbourne, Abigaille with the Wiener Staatsoper, and Die Färberin in a major new production of Die Frau Ohne Schatten in Leipzig.
