Capitol Comedy is a performance group that uses the winning formula of musical comedy, political satire, and multimedia animation to engage audiences in an entertainment that is hilarious, insightful and non-partisan. The show is continually in revision to remain contemporary and reflect today’s political headlines.
Capitol Comedy combines parodies and original compositions to create a lively musical multi-media program. Audiences will delight in new lyrics to old standards such as “Camelot” (“Kamala”),“Seventy-Six Trombones” (“Seventy-Six Skin Tones In My Cabinet”), and “When the Saints Go Marching In” (“When Those Souls Go To the Polls”).
Live songs and sketches are interspersed with animated mock “commercials” projected on a screen, Example: an ad for a split-brain operation by Dr. Ben Carson enabling politicians to hold contradictory political positions more easily.
A recurring “Weekend Update”-type segment draws humor from late-breaking news, funny photos, and interviews with eccentric personalities.
The six-person cast is composed of talented actor-singers and dancers with Hollywood, regional theater and off-Broadway experience. Their considerable performance skills include the ability to channel a range of political and other public figures
Showtimes are Saturday, October 9 at 7:00 pm and Monday, October 11 at 3:00 pm at the Arts Club of Washington. Doors open an hour before for a reception. Show tickets are $50 ($35 for Arts Club members) and include pre-show cocktails & dinner; drinks & dessert with the performers after the show.

Non-member tickets are non-refundable. Paid tickets can be canceled online for an account credit until 72 hours before the show. Phone reservations are charged a $10 service fee. Unpaid online reservations are automatically canceled.
Member RSVP can be canceled without a penalty until the day before the event.
