Deep Beauty: Experiencing Wonder When the World is on Fire

Thursday, October 1,  7:00 pm

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC - FREE

As our world suffers under pandemics, political polarization, natural disasters, and a seeming disdain for basic human values, Deep Beauty offers this palliative of essays on wonder and beauty by some of our area’s most gifted artists and writers.  The evening’s Zoom presentation includes readings by the collection’s editors, Rosemary Winslow and Catherine Lee, and other essayists.  Join them in meditating on how the fulfilled life may be achieved through peace, safety, compassion, and dignity.

About the Authors

Rosemary Winslow is a retired professor, now a writer, poet, researcher, and teacher. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband, John Winslow, a visual artist whose work graces the cover of Deep Beauty.

Catherine Lee, an editor and freelance writer, is a former Philadelphia Inquirer reporter and communication director at the Catholic University of America who lives with her husband in Washington, DC. They have three children and two grandchildren.
