Short Story Round-Robin Live Reading and Discussion

Frank R. Stockton: "The Lady, or the Tiger?"

Thursday, August 20 at 1:00 pm

OPEN TO MEMBERS - FREE

The Literature Committee is pleased to announce installment #5 in the short story reading-and-discussion series. This time, it's "The Lady, or the Tiger?" by Frank R. Stockton, with the famous ending question of which one, the lady or the tiger, will come out of the opened door.  "Which?"  It's a difficult choice and a matter of life and death for the young lover.  Attached is the text in pdf format.

Participants will take turns reading the story aloud, in round-robin fashion, and then discuss it afterward.  Literature Committee member and former librarian Bill Turner will offer remarks and act as facilitator.

Participation is open to Arts Club members, with a limit of 12 readers and any more to go on a waitlist.  Any others are welcome to sit in as an audience.  An invitation to join the event on Zoom, along with discussion questions, will be sent to participants on August 18.

Please join us.  RSVP online today.
