Join us for a lunch talk by Dr. Garry Apgar, author of MICKEY MOUSE: EMBLEM OF THE AMERICAN SPIRIT and editor of A MICKEY MOUSE READER. Dr Apgar is an art historian (Yale PhD, Sorbonne MA), former cartoonist and writer for THE PARIS METRO expatriate newspaper, current president of the Voltaire Society of America, and  Vietnam War Marine veteran. 

He will explain how Walt Disney's iconic Mouse has become a global symbol of the American spirit in peace and war.

Program from 12 noon-12:30 pm, followed by a Two-Course lunch. $20 per person. This event is open to members and guests only.
