Take-in for the June Members’ Show will be Sunday, June 2, from 11 am to 2 pm. Please leave paintings and photographs for the June show in the ground floor parlors and theater. Members can leave up to five works that have not been shown in a previous Members’ Show, although the works can have been in a previous Spilsbury show. Large works are especially welcome for the Members’ Show because we want to fill the house will wonderful art.
All work must be labeled and exhibition ready (wired and either framed or with painted sides). Please include a separate list of all of the pieces you are submitting (including the artist name, title, medium and price for each piece)
The Spilsbury take-in, take-out for June will be at the same time. Please leave works in the gallery on the lower level, but not in the Rathskeller. The usual guidelines of one large work, 30”x40” or so, two medium works 11”x14” plus frame or so, and three or four small works apply.
For both the Members’ Show and the Spilsbury Show, works must have a label, visible from the front when the work is hanging on the wall, giving name, title of work, medium, and price. Not for sale is OK for the Members’ Show, but Spilsbury works should be for sale. In addition, each artist must leave a full sheet of paper listing the same information for all works submitted, to be used to prepare labels.
At 2 pm, artists wishing to be a Spilsbury Featured Artist during 2020, monthly except July and August, will meet in the Rathskeller. Each person will draw a number and choose months in the order of the drawn numbers. If more than 10 people enter, there will be some blanks. If this happens, we encourage those who did get chosen months, to share with their less fortunate colleagues.
