A 1940s NEW YEAR'S EVE
Bebop. Blues. and Broadway
A Musical Celebration of the 1940s
The 1940s were a decade of artistic ferment and accomplishment in American popular music, jazz, and musical theatre. Ring in the New Year by enjoying timeless compositions of Harold Arlen, Irving Berlin, Hoagie Carmichael, Johnny Mercer, Thelonious Monk, Charlie Parker, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Jule Styne, and other greats. Their music is performed by vocalists Corinne DeVries and Alan Naylor and jazz guitarist Steve Herberman and his trio—who later provide tunes to dance the night away.
