MARFIELD PRIZE READER'S TEA

Join us on November 4th, at 1 p.m. for the Marfield Prize Readers' Tea event.
Enjoy a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon with a book or two together with friends.
Help us read and review entries to the 2018 Marfield Prize.

This year we are very excited to announce that the Marfield  awards night to be held on June 6, 2019 will be judged by New York Times bestselling novelist  Carolyn Parkhurst; Pulitzer Prize-winning art and architecture critic of The Washington Post Philip Kennicott, ; and double recipient of the PEN/Faulkner award and winner of the National Book Award for Fiction Ha Jin.

The winner will travel to Washington, DC on June 5-6 for a brief residency that includes an award ceremony; a visit with a DC public high school; an interview with poet Grace Cavalieri, host of the Library of Congress’ podcast, The Poet and the Poem; and a public presentation at the Arts Club of Washington located in a historic, Federal-era mansion that was the home of President James Monroe. Peabody award winner and talk show host Diane Rehm will participate in the Q and A portion with the prize winner on June 6, 2019.
