"Quirky Cinema" — The Films of Wes Anderson, Noah Baumbach & the Coen Brothers

$20 per person (screening & lunch)

Please join the Arts Club Cinematography Committee for Dr. Laurence Jarvik’s Cinema Lunch talk on quirky filmmakers who make movies about their personal obsessions. We’ll  discuss Isle of Dogs (2018), The Meyerowitz Stories (2017), and Hail, Caesar! (2016) to explore individuality within the Hollywood studio system.

Currently teaching "Understanding Movies" for UMUC, Dr. Jarvik is an author, filmmaker and a graduate of UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film & Television. He is a member of the Arts Club of Washington.

Lecture from 12 noon-12:30 pm, followed by a Two-Course lunch. $20 per person. This event is open to members and guests.
