CLUB DINNER

First Annual Arts Club of Washington Mystery Masquerade Ball & Halloween Party.

Come help solve “The Case of the Missing Monroe Letter!”

Enjoy an evening of sleuthing, fine cuisine and fun as you participate in this Murder Mystery Masquerade Ball & Halloween Party.

James Monroe, Fifth President of the United States, married Elizabeth Kortright not for money, but for love.  They remained happily married for over 40 years.  When Elizabeth died in 1830,   according to family lore, Monroe, in his grief, burned all of their love letters.  But, was every letter destroyed?  Could one have been left at the Monroe House when they moved to the White House?  There are those who would stop at nothing to have such a letter in their possession!  Would this include murder?

The Case of the Missing Monroe Letter, created and written by Dwane Starlin and Marilyn Bennett, is a collaborative fun play that will be performed by Club Members throughout the evening.

Dress code: costumes are encouraged; prizes will be awarded for the best costumes!

The Arts Club of Washington is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. located at 2017 I Street N.W., Washington D.C. 20006
