19, written and directed by Jennifer Schwed and Doug Bradshaw, with music composed by Charlie Barnett, is the dynamic, inspiring and little known real history of Alice Paul, the Suffragists and their fight to get women the right to vote—The 19th Amendment. The 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th is coming up in 2020. Much as they did one hundred years ago, women today have had enough, and they are starting a new revolution. With each passing news cycle, the topics addressed in 19 seem to be more and more relevant.
As a musical, 19 brings the struggle for equality to life through jazz, spoken word and stirring emotional conflict. More info about 19 can be found at throughthe4thwall.com
