The performance by Edvinas Minkstimas will be preceded by an awards ceremony for student winners in the Anna Bartsch-Dunn Scholarship Competition, this year in the field of works on paper.

Edvinas Minkstimas is widely regarded as one of Europe’s top emerging young pianists, one whose extensive repertory, solid technique and musical expression have led him to perform throughout Europe and North America.

In 2018, Dr. Minkstimas performed at Pro Musica San Miguel festival, judged Steinway piano competition in Washington, D.C., presented Holocaust Music program at the Georgetown University. His upcoming engagements include concert tour in China, performances in leading festivals and concert series in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

In 2017, Dr. Minkstimas ran the second edition of the American Piano Forum summer music festival at the West Chester University in Pennsylvania, organized summer music academy for the Washington Cathay Future Center.

In 2016, Dr. Minkstimas ran the first edition of the American Piano Forum summer music festival in Washington, D.C., judged and served as faculty at WIPF, performed concert tours in Europe, Mexico and the United States.

In 2015, Dr. Minkstimas became Chair of the Piano Department at WCM, where he also serves as faculty,  see more info.
