Anders Lundegard & Monika Mockovcakova
Swedish composer Anders Lundegard will perform with pianist Monika Mockovcakova will play the Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano by Cesar Franck, transcribed for saxophone and piano. Lundegard will perform his own composition, Fire.
Educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and at Northwestern University as a Fulbright Scholar, Lundegard now resides in the Washington, D.C., area, where he has made a career as a financial planner.
The subject of his doctoral dissertation was the saxophone concerto by the Swedish composer Lars-Erik Larsson. Lundegård has composed a number of pieces for saxophone and piano. His album "Tasteful Suite" features exclusively his compositions.
