“Trips, Journeys, Voyages: Poems about Travel"
"What childishness is it that while there's breath of life in our bodies,” Elizabeth Bishop wrote, "we are determined to rush to see the sun the other way around?” Like planes, trains, and automobiles, poetry has the power to transport its readers. Join us for a dinner discussion of poems by canonical and contemporary talents, all revolving around the idea of travel, led by ACW Literary Chair Sandra Beasley.
No technical expertise required! Copies of poems will be supplied that evening, so bring your reading glasses. New members are encouraged to attend.
$50 per person / $90 per couple, which includes a three-course meal and wine. This event is for Club Members only and their guests. Seating will be capped at twelve, so please register early if interested.
