present a film lab:
Saturday, April 27th, beginning at 12:00 noon
The American Film Institute's Silver Theatre
8633 Colesville Road
Silver Spring, Maryland
As a follow-on to our April 4th author discussion with Foster Hirsch of his newest book, Hollywood and the Movies of the Fifties, Arts Club members and friends are invited to attend screenings of up to three films, each representing a different genre, with post-film discussions led by American Film Institute (AFI) members. Meet in the lobby seating area outside Theatre 2 after each performance to participate.
For those wishing to join a more in-depth discussion group, a casual dinner gathering will be held near the theatre following Demetrius and the Gladiators. Details are below.
Your RSVP is helpful if you would like to sit with other Arts Club/AFI members, but not necessary for this open-seating event. Ticket may be purchased online with a service charge or at the box-office the day of the screenings.
Open seating, attend as many or as few of the films as your schedule allows. Theatre is fully ADA accessible.
