Bill Pastor will discuss his recently published book "Three Pillars of Modern Western Culture", which demonstrates Wagner's impact on Joyce's "Ulysses" and Proust's "In Search of Lost Time" in the use of leitmotif, endless melody, and the concept of Gesamtkunstwerk.
